Welcome to Sakura

A new place for your family to call home

Sakura is the Japanese word for the cherry blossom, a flower that celebrates new beginnings. It is a fitting name for a centre where so many little ones take their first steps into learning.

We believe every child is unique, capable, curious and full of potential. Our educators build warm, trusting relationships with each child and family, and plan play-based learning around children's interests, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2.0) and Victoria's Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).

“We value strong partnerships with families and work together through open communication, shared trust and respect.”Sarah, Director

Outdoor play

A natural playground under the trees

Children spend time outdoors every day. Our garden has a winding bike track with road markings, a big sandpit, a timber fort with a slide, climbing posts, shade sails, a mural wall and established trees, with plenty of room to run, dig, build and imagine.

Everyone wears a hat outside, and we apply SPF50+ sunscreen (which we provide) whenever the UV Index is 3 or above.
